IAD-ORD. Half of the Business Class is backwards. Absolutely no storage in seats. The beds
are too short for someone that is 5'10" and over. IFE excellent, but iPod and iPhone
connection did not work. The video screens are nice. The drop down armrests are good, but
that does not help much in width. Legroom good, but the beds are too short. When in a flat
position, the feet are squished in the partition, and absolutely no room to stretch your
arms and legs. The LED in seat reading light is good with 2 lighting intensities, but cant
used when fully upright. Poorly positioned reading lamp. The cushions are rocks. I cannot
believe that United Airlines came up with this product, and did not put it to the test. They
think they have a world class product. That design also reduced seating capacity and made the
seats more uncomfortable. The older Business class are a little better than the new ones. The
older interior looks better. The overhead bins should either be old or new, not mixed. The
way to redesign the seats is to stagger them. Everybody would face forward. Seats would be
wider with better privacy, storage and more legroom without reducing business class capacity.
I just don't understand why United Airlines could not think outside the box.

LHRORD on the new seat type in 6A. Okay but nothing extraordinary. Narrow shoulders when
flat - no storage. It generally seemed confined. Excellent AV. I usually don't use it but did
on this flight. Business class toilet located at front of economy, so was usually full.

The new business “lie-flat” class seats on the international 767's (to also be installed on the international 777’s
and 747’s) are horrible. They are claustrophobic and one cannot store anything on the floor in front during takeoff
and landing. I am a normal sized male and I cannot lie flat on my back when the bed is laid out. This was a
horrible, horrible decision on the part of United.

Beijing to Chicago (ORD). Seat only reclines at most 140 degrees, and it's being controlled using 3 plastic switches
- no electronics offered in order to give the full experience of a decent business class seat. Then, there is no
power on the seat. The adapter sells for 120$ - per the flight attendant . The same flight attendant - not providing
great service themselves - told me that "I'd better sleep" , emphasizing that there is not much offered compared to
other airlines. The seat TV is much smaller than other airlines and the user cannot select when to start and stop
the movie, he has to tune into the right time. Overall, this has been the worst business class travel experience I
have had and I will avoid United at all costs in the near or far future.

DEN-LHR. Broken, dirty seat, would not stay in position, you have to pull the footrest up manually. Massage
function not working, no space for eyeglasses when you want to sleep.

The seat does not fully lie flat. If you have a window seat and you want to go the toilet you have to climb over
the passenger next to you, which can get annoying. The business class service on the aircraft was the worst I have
ever experienced, the food was terrible, the service was terrible. The staff were more interested in talking to
each other than dealing with customers.

UA takes the prize for having the lamest international business class and the slowest in refurbishing its fleet of
91 international widebodies - 14 months after it started its introduction of new flatbed seats, only 16 out of 91
planes have been refurbished. None of these refurbished planes is a 777, which dominate the Asian and European
flights out of Washington/Dulles. At this rate, it will take UA five years to finish the upgrade, while NW has had
lie-flat seats in business for the past six years. With outdated seats of only 55-inches of pitch, 155 degrees
recline, a tight 2-3-2 row on 777s, poor functioning controls, no AVOD, and a video screen barely larger than my
iphone's, UA's product is simply abysmal.

The new United seats are better than OK but not as good as BA or Virgin Atlantic. The seemed to have bent the laws
of physics by putting eight seats across in a 767 so seats are quite narrow. Best to sit in an aisle so you don't
want to climb over people in the middle of the night but it isn't that difficult as there is plenty of room. I sleep
on my stomach and side and found the 180' bed far better than the angled seats of other airlines. Blankets and
pillows are fine but nothing special. The one thing that really bugs me is the headrest. The seats are a little
narrow but unless you're really broad-shouldered you'll settle down and get some sleep. The Big TV's side by side
can be distracting as you can clearly see the other passengers movie.

United Airlines have improved their product with their new 180 degree flat business class product. Flew ORD-LHR on
the new 767 aircraft and seat the best I have flown. The seat lies totally flat in a 2x2x2 configuration. The new
entertainment system is a huge improvement on their old system.

I flew to Frankfurt this fall on one of the re-fitted 747s with their new lay flat cubicles - was I surprised to see
I was riding backwards. In all, I really liked the experience - nice big TV with plenty of on-demand entertainment -
seat OK for sitting and sleeping - true lay flat - a bit short for me (I'm 6'5", seat is 6'4") but slept fine. I
normally fly United ORD/HKG on their older business seats, so this was a real plus. Can't wait till these seats are
on the Asian routes.

The refitted first seats are a big improvement over the previous product. The length has been
increased somewhat as has the width. Both armrests can be lowered at any time to provide a seat
width increase. The entertainment system has been greatly improved with a very large screen which
can be accessed any time from the moment you board the plane until it arrives at the gate. One
oddity is the shoulder harness which must be worn during take off and landing. I have not
experienced this on any other airline as yet. To fit the new configuration two first seats have been
removed from the cabin. They have also updated the china they serve their meals with which really
does not matter but I thought I would offer the comment anyway. When the seat is in the fully flat
position it is quite comfortable but very firm. I suspect this is because it is a very new product.
The built in head rest is slightly annoying when trying to achieve a comfortable sleeping position.
I am 6 ft tall with very broad shoulders and I found the seat accommodated me comfortably and was
better than the previous product which I found to narrow to accommodate my shoulder width when
laying on my back. It is still not up to standard compared with Singapore airlines but it is much
better than other North American airlines and the previous product.

New United lay-flat seat. Pretty comfortable (I am tall and wide), easy to adjust, very large screen, good room for
drinks without table out, retracting table easy to use, power port well located. AVOD not exceptional in quantity
and choices, and had some bugs that kept shutting it down, personal storage lacking (especially on 767, which has
small overheads), the small ledge under the monitor is too small to be functional for anything beyond holding amenity kit.

So far - probably with exception of some of the older planes of Chinese carriers - the worst in the business I've
ever flown. Avoid upper deck bulkhead at all cost: less leg room and noise from lavatories and the safety fence
opening and closing. No AVOD, TV screen smaller than my iPod, malfunctioning sound on 2 of the 6 continuous loop
movies. Seat upholstery old and shaggy. The back of the seat is the most uncomfortable part because of how the
headrest reclines into it - it'll hurt your upper back within the hour. Adding insult to injury: champagne from a
plastic cup? What are these people thinking? (Review of "old" UAL seats)

ORD-HKG-SIN roundtrip on United Business 747 upper deck. The seats definitely need an upgrade. S Cabin lights refused
to turn off on the inbound HKG-ORD so it was harder to sleep, but we were offered vouchers or miles in compensation.
According to colleagues, lower deck biz class much noisier due to proximity of children in economy.
