Contrary to the Airline's claim on their web site the seat does not recline into a fully flat bed and on max
recline is angled at two places making is conducive to lie only on one's back. The feet fit into a cramped 12 inch
x 12 inch area which gives a claustrophobic feeling. The seat as a whole is also angled and not parallel to the
floor. I assume this is because Emirates wanted to accomodate a higher number of business class seats on the A380.
Raised the issue with Emirates and suggested the amend the flat bed seat claim on their website as the same is misleading.

First leg in older cabin with non lie flat seats which are roomy and comfortable which is more than could be said
for the new seats we had on the second leg. Thin padding and joins between the cushions made for the worst business
class seat that I have experienced.

My first experience with EK was rather disappointing. The flight between HKG-BKK had the older business class
product. Seats are fairly big, but don’t recline much, tables are not straight etc. Service was rushed and no
attention to passengers at all. Food was also fair, so I was really disappointed. Return flight was on the newest
business product, seats, service and food was much better. I won’t be rushed to spend money on EK business for a while.

Emirates business class seats seem to be a bit of a lottery - I encountered three types on my last trip. This review
is of modern but traditional seats that were on three of the six flights I did. This is not a shell seat, so the
seat in front invades your space when its occupant reclines. And the recline is significant, which means their head
can be pretty close to you if they sleep and you don't! I found the seat very good for daytime travel but less good
for sleeping. I can sleep in most aircraft seats but I did struggle a bit with these. The seats and the cabins felt
pretty new but the set design is way out of date, particularly for an airline that is otherwise impressive. Finally,
IMHO three-across seating like this in a 777 really isn't on in business class.

Angled Lie Flat seats, you can feel slightly claustrophobic with the barrier between you and the passenger next to
you. We came back yesterday and were together in the middle seats, my partner was in the middle seat and did look a
little lost between the screens. The screens do not allow them to come fully down if you are traveling together.
Seats comfortable, both for sitting and sleeping. However, choose wisely when booking your flights, as sometimes
you end up in the old style - although these seats feel wider they are very much the old style business class seats
and not great for sleeping.

LGW-DXB-BKK-DXB-LGW. 2nd and 4th sectors had an appallingly uncomfortable 42" pitch, other 2 sectors 54", and 45 degree recline throughout. No amenity bags
to/from London. Poor IFE. Emirates is simply not worth the money any more.

LGW-DXB A330-200. Seat comfortable but layout disappointing especially in row 6. Food was average, service ok.
Expecting high standards from EK but they did not fulfil the requirements.

Diabolical, no real seat room, hugely disappointing service, Allocated middle seat a complete nightmare. Sleep very
difficult especially with a particularly large loudly snoring individual next to you. impossible to even cross your
feet if the person in front reclines. Crushed ankles are the result.

This was the worst Business class flight we have ever taken. The seats were the new 'fixed pod' seats, so in theory
this means the seat in front will not cause you any problems if in the recline position. This is all well and good
if the 'pods' are spaced far enough apart. On this flight, if we tried to recline into a sleeping position, our
feet were trapped under the 'pod' in front of you. The seats were far too close together, resulting in us being
unable to get out of your seat easily, even in a sitting position without moving the person next to you - if they
were reclined. In short, Emirates have crammed too many business class seats into the cabin to allow for the
introduction of the new suites in First Class. The sleeping position is totally unacceptable for Business class
prices, the sitting position is uncomfortable and the large screen TV too close, as it is positioned on the back of
the seat in front of you. Even the tray tables are dangerous as they are fairly unstable, which resulted in a
number of items sliding off on to your lap. Emirates' claim of 'deeply reclining comfort' in Business class is
totally false. The once excellent cabin crew, were sullen and complaining of tiredness and appeared to be 'going
through the motions' - they are now lagging behind other airlines. Be careful, if you have an alternative Business
Class Option, take it, they are many years behind the competition.

The Emirates new seating are more uncomfortable than the older seating with the use of plastic and thin seat and
back cushions no wonder a hard surface is acheived more consultation with passengers may result in a better product
Food as always is superb as in Limo service Crew seem to be either hot or cold and never really friendly

Agree with the majority of posters here. I have flown both aircraft types recently between Sydney and Dubai. Aside
from the food, the Business Class product is significantly inferior to comparable European / Asian carriers. The
amenity bag has a 'cheap' feel to it and the headphones really start to cause discomfort after a couple of hours
wear. The seats on both (regardless of newness) don't fully recline and it has been hard to get any kind of proper
sleep. ICE is good as far as choice is concerned, but with those headsets? If it was my choice (and not the
client's), I would sooner go Qantas or Singapore - even with a slightly longer flying time. I'm a Silver Skywards
member and would require just one more sector to hit Gold, but unless a client is paying next time, Emirates won't
see me upgrade.

Old-style business class seats. Problem with EK is you never know what you are going to get! EK should really speed
up its fleet refurbishment programme, as this leads to much dissatisfaction with what would otherwise be a top-class airline.

London-Dubai-Johannesburg. First leg was great. New business class seats. Unfortunately the Dubai to NB leg was an
older aircraft and it was like a step back in time. Similarly I was on older aircraft coming back. In general
Emirates still have a way to go to beat BA, SAA and Virgin business.

This business-class is terribly overrated. I flew it last week LHR-DXB, then 777-300 DXB-SIN, then 777-300 SIN-DXB.
Although the seatmap when I booked showed the new 5-row business class cabin on all three legs, it was not provided
on even a single one. I believe Emirates deliberately lie about this, as nobody in their right mind would pay a
business fare for this product. The seats only recline about 45 degrees, and if the seat in front of you reclines,
you are unable to leave your seat easily. They didn't even give an amenity-kit on a single flight, only blinders &
socks. The food was very good, but that wasn't worth thousands of dollars. Any Asian airline's business class beats
Emirates.

Dubai to Bangkok. This was my first time on Emirates, and probably my last. While the ICE entertainment system was
quite good, the seats were terrible and very old. The seats had very little recline, and standard business-class
niceties such as an amenity kit were non-existent. The bathrooms were cramped and tiny. Definitely not worth the
price.

Seats differ from aircraft to aircraft, so you are not sure at to which product you will be getting. Seats do not
fully recline, and are angled, not very comfortable to sleep on. BA best Business Class seat by far. On the 'new'
Emirates Business Class seat, the seat is very hard and very lumpy!

A330-200 2x3x2 configuration. Tilting seats, not lie flat. The problem with Emirates is that there is so much
variation in their Business and First Class product depending on aircraft and route. So the experience can be very
different. Emirates needs to standardise their service rather than this "pot luck" system of getting a good
Business Class seat.
